Barrette Files only cut on one face, in a double cut on the cutting face. The profile of this file is a trapezoid, tapering in both width and thickness. Also known as Safety back file. This is used for filing internal angles in slots and general finishing and deburring without fear of accidental wear to another surface during filing.
